Every Bathroom Plumbing Service You Need
From a simple faucet replacement to the complete plumbing rough-in for a bathroom remodel, Marlin Plumbing handles all bathroom plumbing with precision. We've been helping Southern Utah homeowners fix, upgrade, and remodel their bathrooms since 1978. Whether it's a toilet repair, a shower valve replacement, or moving drain lines for a new layout, we handle it all — and our trucks are stocked so most jobs are done in one visit.
Hard water is a particular challenge in St. George bathrooms. Mineral deposits clog aerators, deteriorate valve seats, and shorten the life of faucets and showerheads. Our technicians know how to work around St. George's water chemistry — and can recommend solutions like a water filtration system or water softener to extend the life of your fixtures and keep your bathroom looking clean without constant scrubbing of hard water scale.

Know the Warning Signs
Signs You Need Bathroom Plumbing
Catching these early prevents a small issue from becoming a costly emergency.
A running toilet can waste 200+ gallons per day. The flapper, fill valve, or flush valve may need replacement.
A dripping faucet is usually a worn cartridge or washer. Catching it early prevents valve seat damage and a bigger repair.
A toilet that moves when you sit down likely has a failed wax ring seal — which can cause water damage to the subfloor if ignored.
Pressure drops in the shower often indicate a failing mixing valve, mineral-clogged showerhead, or a water supply issue.
Local Expertise
How St. George's Hard Water Destroys Bathroom Fixtures
Bathrooms take the worst beating from St. George's hard water. Every shower, every faucet, every toilet flush runs mineral-laden water through your fixtures, and the buildup is relentless. We've pulled showerheads off homes in the Sunbrook area that were barely three years old and had 50% of their spray nozzles blocked by calcium deposits. Faucet cartridges that should last 8–10 years are failing at 3–4 because mineral crystals grind the sealing surfaces every time you turn the handle.
The cosmetic damage is just as persistent. Glass shower doors develop a white haze that no amount of scrubbing removes once the minerals etch into the glass surface. Chrome fixtures pit and discolor. Toilet bowls develop hard water rings that standard cleaners can't touch. Homeowners spend hundreds per year fighting stains that are really a water quality problem, not a cleaning problem. A whole-house water softener eliminates the source, and the difference in how long bathroom fixtures last is dramatic — we're talking double or triple the lifespan in many cases.
The expansive clay soil in parts of Bloomington, Bloomington Hills, and the older sections of St. George creates another bathroom-specific concern: shifting foundations. When the ground under a slab moves, the first plumbing to show stress is often the toilet flange and the shower drain — both are rigid connections through the slab. A toilet that rocks, a shower drain that seeps, or a crack in tile grout around a tub can all trace back to soil movement beneath the foundation. We see these issues regularly and know how to repair them in a way that accounts for future settling.

Compare Your Options
Bathroom Repair vs. Full Bathroom Remodel
When your bathroom has multiple issues, it's worth comparing the cost of fixing each problem individually versus remodeling the entire space.
Our recommendation: If your bathroom has one or two specific issues and the rest is in good shape, targeted repairs are the smart move. But if you're dealing with corroded supply lines, a failing shower valve, a leaky toilet, and outdated fixtures all at once — a remodel addresses everything for a fraction of the cumulative repair cost and gives you a modern bathroom that adds real value to your home.

Real Customers, Real Results
What Our Customers Say
“We did a full master bathroom remodel and Marlin handled all the plumbing — moved the shower drain, installed a freestanding tub, and put in new fixtures throughout. Everything was done on time and looks great. Really professional crew.”
— Linda M.
Bloomington, UT
“Had three bathroom faucets caked with hard water deposits that no amount of CLR would fix. Marlin replaced all three with ceramic-disc cartridge faucets, replaced the corroded supply lines under each sink, and the whole thing took about two hours. No more fighting crusty handles every morning.”
— Greg H.
St. George, UT
“Our guest bathroom toilet had been slowly rocking for months and we finally noticed water staining around the base. Marlin replaced the wax ring, discovered the flange was cracked from the shifting, replaced that too, and set the toilet rock-solid. The tech said the subfloor was starting to get soft — glad we caught it when we did.”

Master Bathroom Remodel Plumbing — Fixture Relocation in Bloomington
The Problem
A homeowner renovating their master bathroom wanted to replace their old tub-shower combo with a walk-in shower and freestanding soaking tub. The new layout required moving the shower drain 4 feet, adding a new tub drain in a different location, and relocating the vanity plumbing from one wall to another. The home was built on a concrete slab, which meant cutting into the slab for drain relocations.
Our Solution
We cut and removed the necessary slab sections, rerouted drain lines to the new fixture locations, poured new concrete over the repaired slab, and ran new supply lines through the wall framing for the relocated vanity. We installed a thermostatic shower valve rated for Southern Utah's pressure variations and recommended a pressure-balancing valve to prevent the temperature swings that happen when other fixtures are used simultaneously. All fixtures were selected for hard water durability.
The Result
The project was completed in four working days with zero inspection issues. The homeowner reported that the new thermostatic valve eliminated the temperature spikes they'd been living with for years, and the hard water-resistant fixtures are still spotless after 10 months.
